About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking talent for the 2027 Global Payments & Liquidity Internship. This 10-week program is designed to provide interns with experience and exposure to Global Payments & Liquidity, a market-leading provider of working capital solutions serving clients of all sizes. The program focuses on professional development and business skills growth through on-the-job experience, formal training, and exposure to senior leaders. Interns will immerse themselves in GPL business areas, gain diverse experiences, and identify a post-internship career track. Placements may be in Sales or Product, focusing on building key skills through various activities.

Requirements

  • 6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Nice To Haves

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date between December 2027 or May/June 2028.
  • All majors welcome.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, interest and/or experience in finance, accounting, and sales.
  • Strong critical thinking and data insight skills, with the ability to understand customer needs, support customer strategy, learn quickly, adapt to change, and contribute to innovative solutions.
  • Ability to execute with urgency, manage projects and workflows effectively, support product delivery, and drive operational excellence with an enterprise mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the sourcing, structuring, underwriting, and execution of payments & liquidity transactions as an active member of a deal team.
  • Conduct due diligence and analyze financial statements that support payments & liquidity recommendations.
  • Leverage market, industry, and company research and analysis along with product knowledge to ensure the success of business development efforts.
  • Work with teams on a variety of tasks, including compliance and risk management responsibilities.
  • Provide information to colleagues and managers in support of completion of deliverables, resolution of issues, and help deliver business initiatives, communications, and other materials to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Support sales teams in developing skills essential for future success in client-facing roles (Sales placement).
  • Learn the end-to-end sales process, including portfolio management, proposal development/delivery, and collaboration with internal partners (Sales placement).
  • Conduct P&L analysis, new product design/requirements, addressing risk and regulatory needs, and partnership with Sales to drive growth and profitability (Product placement).
