About The Position

BMO Capital Markets is seeking motivated individuals for its New Grad 2027 Global Markets Analyst Rotational Program. This program offers a competitive, defined onboarding and training program with continuous professional development. Analysts and Associates will work within the Global Markets Group, which includes Global Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (FICC), Global Equities and Financing Solutions (GEFS), Cross Asset Solutions (CAS), and Global Markets Engineering. The program includes three 2-week rotational opportunities, after which participants will be placed full-time in a suitable area to build in-depth skills. The role involves performing a variety of analytical and administrative tasks, developing presentation materials using MS PowerPoint and MS Excel, fielding client inquiries, and providing client contact support.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or Master’s degree program graduating in December 2026 or Spring 2027
Strong academic record and extracurricular achievement
Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of financial markets
General knowledge of financial strategy / accounting / economic / capital management principles
Excellent research and analytical skills, able to collect, analyze and interpret data
Experience in numerical and data analysis
Detail and results orientated
Strong interpersonal skills used within a demanding team environment
Demonstrated proactivity, resiliency, positive attitude and high motivation
Ability to attentively review, assess and provide detailed information daily on multiple projects in an organized manner
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong work ethic and a high level of professional integrity
Excellent data manipulation/Excel/spreadsheet skills including VBA
Experience accessing data streams, such as Bloomberg
Database experience helpful (SQL, Oracle)
Coding, programming is always an asset!
Typically between 3 - 5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Familiarity with institutional equity markets.
Series 7, 63 licenses.
Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, investment and financial reports.
Strong familiarity with Outlook, Excel, Reuters Plus, Bloomberg, public finance/business news websites is desired.
I-Star familiarity.

Responsibilities

Performing a variety of analytical and administrative tasks as assigned.
