About The Position

BMO Capital Markets is seeking motivated individuals for its New Grad 2027 Global Markets Analyst Rotational Program in Calgary. This program offers a competitive experience with three 2-week rotational opportunities within the Global Markets Group, which includes Global Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (FICC), Global Equities and Financing Solutions (GEFS), Cross Asset Solutions (CAS), and Global Markets Engineering. The program is designed to provide a defined onboarding and training program, supported by continuous professional development, with the goal of placing participants full-time into a suitable area where they can build in-depth skills. The role involves performing a variety of analytical and administrative tasks, which may include developing presentation materials using MS PowerPoint and MS Excel, fielding client phone inquiries, and providing other client contact support.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or Master’s degree program graduating in December 2026 or Spring 2027
  • Strong academic record and extracurricular achievement
  • Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of financial markets
  • General knowledge of financial strategy / accounting / economic / capital management principles
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, able to collect, analyze and interpret data
  • Experience in numerical and data analysis

  • Series 7, 63 licenses.

  • Strong familiarity with Outlook, Excel, Reuters Plus, Bloomberg, public finance/business news websites is desired.
  • I-Star familiarity.

Responsibilities

  • Performing a variety of analytical and administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Developing presentation materials using MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.

  • Providing a markets-based suite of sales and trading solutions to Institutional, Corporate, and Retail clients.

  • Responding to inquiries from clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community in a professional manner and determining acceptable solutions.
