About The Position

The Global Head of Technology, Private Markets will own the engineering, architecture, delivery, and operational performance of technology platforms supporting critical workflows across Private Equity and Private Credit. This is a hands-on practitioner leadership role combining direct technical work with technology strategy and organizational delivery. The role will lead the transformation of existing platforms into modern, AI-native products, with end-to-end accountability for technology performance and production outcomes. The successful candidate will work directly with engineering teams on solution design, coding, prototyping, AI-assisted development, and complex technical problem-solving. They will modernize applications, databases, data models, and integration patterns; develop scalable data products, interoperable services, APIs, and intelligence capabilities; and translate Private Markets workflows into practical technology solutions. They will also foster engineering excellence, experimentation, rapid delivery, ownership, and accountability while ensuring platforms are secure, scalable, resilient, and operationally sound.

Requirements

15+ years of technology leadership experience delivering complex enterprise platforms, with accountability across engineering, architecture, technology delivery, platform modernization, and production outcomes; preferably in financial services, investment management, or Private Markets.
Strong understanding of Private Equity and Private Credit, including investment lifecycles, portfolio data, valuation processes, financial reporting, performance analytics, and investment operations.
Deep hands-on software engineering experience, including the ability and willingness to design, write code, prototype solutions, and troubleshoot complex technical problems alongside engineering teams.
Deep expertise in modern application architectures, cloud-native development, APIs, integration, distributed systems, and data platforms.
Experience modernizing complex or legacy technology environments.
Practical experience analyzing applications, databases, and data models; engineering data pipelines and data products; and enabling interoperability across platforms, services, and systems.
Strong understanding and practical application of AI, LLMs, agentic architectures, automation, and AI-assisted software development, including using them to build or transform technology products and engineering practices.
Demonstrated ability to lead engineering organizations and significant technology transformation, influence senior stakeholders, challenge established approaches, and drive measurable outcomes across organizational boundaries while remaining personally engaged in execution.

Experience applying technology to complex Private Markets workflows, including portfolio monitoring, valuations, covenant analysis, investment operations, and performance analytics.
Experience operating in large-scale, global, or highly regulated technology environments where security, resilience, scalability, and operational performance are critical.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering execution, architecture, platform modernization, operational resilience, and production outcomes across the Private Markets technology portfolio.
Own end-to-end technology performance and delivery.

Develop scalable data products, interoperable services, APIs, and intelligence capabilities across the Private Markets ecosystem.
Translate Private Equity and Private Credit workflows—including portfolio monitoring, valuations, performance analytics, investment operations, and covenant analysis—into practical, scalable technology solutions.
Collaborate across product, business, data, and engineering teams to challenge established approaches and accelerate outcomes.
Build a culture of hands-on ownership, experimentation, rapid delivery, technical excellence, and accountability.
Ensure platforms remain secure, scalable, resilient, and operationally sound.
Lead engineering organizations and significant technology transformation, influence senior stakeholders, and drive measurable outcomes across organizational boundaries while remaining engaged in execution.
