Global Head of Marketing Data & Insights, MD

State Street•Boston, MA
•$170,000 - $267,500

About The Position

The Global Head of Marketing Data & Insights leads marketing analytics, measurement and insights across State Street, reporting to the Head of Digital Strategy & Channel Performance, Senior Vice President. The role sets the vision and practical roadmap for marketing data and analytics, helping marketers and business partners understand performance, audiences and clients, and make better decisions about marketing investment across the organization. The leader will build a consistent, trusted analytics capability and a growth-minded culture that connects analysis to action, using practical improvements and sound judgment rather than waiting for ideal data or infrastructure. The role develops shared measures, visualization standards, dashboards, self-service reporting and timely alerts for executive, strategic and campaign-level decisions. It establishes a disciplined test-and-learn approach using attribution, incrementality, experimentation, benchmarks and other appropriate methods, and translates analysis into recommendations for campaigns, channels, content, audiences and investment. It also combines behavioral, digital, client relationship, sales, product, research and market data to identify useful segments, trends, needs and growth opportunities. The leader partners with data, technology and operations teams to improve data reliability, integration and access; define business requirements for data, semantic models, dashboards and marketing technology; and modernize reporting through reusable data products, automation and AI-assisted insights. The role is accountable for the analytics team’s priorities, standards and ways of working, and hires, coaches and develops a strong globally distributed team. It also works with Privacy, Legal, Risk, Compliance and Information Security to ensure responsible data use, measurement and AI-enabled analytics, while enabling controlled pilots and rapid learning. Strong partnerships with senior leaders across Marketing, the businesses and supporting functions are central to the role.
