•$400,000 - $500,000•Remote

About The Position

Qumulo is seeking an experienced leader to manage and grow its Media, Entertainment, Gaming, and Sports (MEGS) business. This role involves setting the go-to-market strategy, managing the vertical's P&L, and acting as a player-coach for a team of senior account executives. The Global Client Director will build executive relationships, drive complex sales, and represent Qumulo at industry events. Qumulo's cloud data platform is trusted by major companies in these sectors for its ability to provide real-time access to media data across on-premise and cloud environments.

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience selling complex technology (such as storage, cloud, infrastructure, data management or data protection, video, streaming, broadcast, or media asset management) into sports, media, broadcast, entertainment, or production organizations.
  • Direct experience managing high-performance sales teams with a hands-on, player/coach model, including a track record of beating quotas.
  • A track record of landing major new logos through generated demand, not just partner-led or inbound pipelines.
  • Fluency in how broadcast and production environments actually work, from ingest to playback, ideally with a focus on media workflows.
  • Existing relationships with global media, entertainment, sports leagues or teams, or broadcast organizations.
  • The ability to travel across North America and globally for customer meetings and industry events.

Nice To Haves

  • Bonus points for being active in NAB, SVG, or SMPTE, and/or having sold file or unstructured data storage solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow the global number for the Media, Entertainment, Gaming, and Sports business, including the forecast, coverage model, and headcount plan.
  • Manage the MEGS vertical as if it were your own business, down to the P&L.
  • Hire, retain, and coach a small team of senior account executives working through long enterprise sales cycles in a niche space.
  • Build and grow executive relationships at studios, broadcasters, leagues, and teams, and sell as a player-coach on new-logo pursuits.
  • Drive complex HW/SW, cloud, and hybrid cloud sales involving OEMs, resellers, and cloud partners.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to align customer needs with the roadmap and run targeted account-based marketing.
  • Be the face of Qumulo in the MEGS vertical and at industry events such as NAB, SVG, and SMPTE.
