At MMGY, we inspire people to go places. We have an immediate opening for a Global Business Travel Manager, based in our Overland Park, KS office. The Global Business Travel Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company’s global business travel program. This role manages travel booking, policies, vendor partnerships, booking systems, and expense oversight to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and compliant travel across the organization. Serving as a centralized resource within the MMGY Global corporate structure, this role supports all global operating brands and works closely with Finance, HR, and executive leadership to ensure travel programs align with company growth, employee experience, and financial goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ Years experience in travel coordination and budget management
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and innovative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends when needed
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience and knowledge of travel management software systems

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and continuously improve the company’s global business travel program, policies, and processes.
  • Analyze travel practices and implement improvements that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and support agency growth.
  • Maintain and regularly update the company’s global travel policy and communicate changes to employees.
  • Monitor travel trends, industry developments, and regulatory updates to ensure program effectiveness and compliance.
  • Manage relationships with travel vendors including airlines, hotels, car rental providers, and travel management companies (TMCs).
  • Negotiate preferred rates, contracts, and partnerships to maximize savings and traveler benefits.
  • Oversee corporate travel insurance programs and provide reporting support for renewals and audits.
  • Manage corporate travel booking platforms and ensure employee profiles and company data remain accurate and current.
  • Oversee booking processes for flights, accommodations, ground transportation, and group travel needs.
  • Provide direct booking support for executive leadership and large group travel.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for travel-related inquiries, issues, and emergencies.
  • Analyze travel spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize travel budgets.
  • Track travel expenses, credits, and commissions across vendors.
  • Partner with Finance on expense reconciliation and redemption of unused airline credits.
  • Provide reporting and insights on travel program performance and spending trends.
  • Provide guidance to employees on travel booking tools, expense processes, and company travel policies.
  • Lead training sessions and workshops to promote travel policy compliance, best practices, and travel safety awareness.
  • Support executive travel logistics and key leadership initiatives including:
  • Board meetings
  • Executive leadership summits
  • New business pitches
  • Major company events
  • Maintain and distribute a global master travel calendar to coordinate major company travel activity.
