About The Position

The Global Asset Manager manages Air Liquide Advanced Materials’ global mobile asset fleet, valued at nearly $100 million, and the annual purchase of $5–$10 million in resale assets for affiliates and customers. The role optimizes asset margins, utilization, working capital, and capital budgeting by managing the asset lifecycle from procurement and onboarding through assembly, customer invoicing, repair, resale, and scrapping. The manager identifies cost-saving opportunities through supplier comparisons, quantity discounts, import duties, transportation costs, asset repurposing, and repair-versus-scrap decisions. The position develops and improves global fleet-planning processes, analytical tools, reports, governance, and lifecycle documentation. It works with global planning, product management, technical marketing, product development, production, procurement, operations, affiliates, logistics, sales/customer service, and finance to align fleet needs with customer demand, maintain accurate fleet records, improve repair and rotation times, and ensure timely asset delivery and invoicing. The role also supports annual asset capital budgeting, tracks CAPEX and OPEX, and manages the transition of seed fleet assets from CAPEX to resale. The Global Asset Manager ensures that canisters and cylinders meet applicable global regulatory standards, documents proprietary packaging, establishes component price-list governance, and recommends fleet standardization. This is a transformation role with a 2–4 year maturity-building horizon: the manager will lead a multi-year asset-management roadmap, introduce best practices in governance and operational control, and influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority. The position is based in Branchburg, New Jersey, with a hybrid 3-2 schedule and up to 10% travel based on business needs. Salary range is $150,000–$190,000, with a 10% annual bonus.
