About The Position

We are looking for a strategic relationship builder with a passion for driving growth in the ingredient industry. As a full-time Global Account Manager – Food, you’ll be at the forefront of partnering with multiple large multinational and regional customers within the ingredient industry. Your goal is to represent the appropriate array of company products and services to assigned customer base while achieving revenue, margin and strategic account objectives. You will also lead customer account planning cycle, identify and develop unique ways to grow the business. Our preferred location is either Chicago, IL or Princeton, NJ, yet open to remote options.

Requirements

  • College degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the ingredient industry
  • Proven experience working with flavor and fragrance houses, color houses, and taste or solution providers for food and beverage applications.
  • Established network within the ingredient industry, including sourcing teams and key decision-makers.
  • Strong knowledge of natural ingredient categories such as citrus oils, fruit essences, botanicals, coffee & tea ingredients, juices, and natural colors.
  • Ability to travel 30-50% domestically

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and grow customer relationships to ensure attainment of company goals
  • Work with customers of the ingredient industry to add value and innovation to their portfolios using Döhler´s natural raw materials and ingredients
  • Use company CRM tools to track projects and ensure internal visibility
  • Execute the annual sales planning process and maintain customer forecasts
  • Develop and implement sales initiatives that successfully execute Business Unit initiatives
  • Manage professional relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at assigned accounts
  • Proactively assess and address customer needs to drive loyalty and increase value
  • Work closely with internal cross-functional team members to ensure alignment on company and customer goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on goals and deliver customer solutions
  • Create and execute account development plans in line with strategic targets, while achieving sales, volume, and profit goals; implement corrective actions when needed
  • Ensure timely and accurate response to customer requests
