About The Position

We are looking for an entry-level Glazier Apprentice who wants to build a career in the trades with Miller Glass. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role in our commercial glazing division, where you will learn to install storefront, curtainwall, glass railings, and other glass systems alongside experienced installers. The right person may have limited construction experience, but they show up on time, work hard, follow instructions, stay safe, and want to advance quickly into a Commercial Glazier Installer position. Requirements

• The most important qualifications are attitude, reliability, and effort. We can teach the trade, but we need someone who is punctual, willing to listen, willing to work hard, respectful to teammates, and serious about getting better every day.
• No glazing experience required; previous construction, shop, mechanical, farm, warehouse, athletics, military, or other hands-on experience is helpful.
• Dependable, coachable, and eager to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 80 pounds) and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled tradespeople in various tasks, including curtainwall install, storefront install, glass railing install, and other misc. glazing tasks.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and skilled workers to complete tasks effectively.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely under supervision.
• Perform basic measurements and assist in the setup of equipment or materials for projects.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving workflow and safety practices.
