About The Position

OHM Advisors is seeking a GIS Specialist to support projects across engineering, planning, architecture, and water resources. Working with a collaborative GIS team, the specialist will contribute to field data collection, GIS database development, and mapping efforts that support community advancement and infrastructure improvement. The role offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to emerging geospatial technologies. The position is onsite at an OHM location in Ohio or Pennsylvania; local candidates are preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, Planning, or a related field, with a focus on GIS preferred.
• Strong experience with Esri ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
• Proven work building and launching ArcGIS Experience Builder apps and ArcGIS StoryMaps.
• Strong understanding of urban planning principles, zoning, and community development.
• Experience creating map products and understanding basic cartographic principles.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to work onsite at an OHM location in Ohio or Pennsylvania; local candidates are preferred.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of GIS experience.
• Exposure to Python and/or Arcade scripting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and maintaining GIS databases for utility management and other infrastructure projects using ArcGIS Pro.
• Assist in designing and developing GIS database schemas.
• Design and launch public-facing Esri ArcGIS Experience Builder apps and ArcGIS StoryMaps.
• Use ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online to support a variety of project needs.
• Participate in project meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Represent the firm professionally when interacting with internal teams, clients, and the public.
