About The Position

The Geographic Information Systems Intern will support Real Estate and other teams with projects involving geospatial data gathering, mapping, spatial analysis, and data visualization. The internship offers students or recent graduates hands-on experience applying GIS technology to real-world projects. Interns may support teams including Real Estate, Facilities, Risk, and Marketing. The position works between 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with a flexible schedule required and 5–10% travel. Additional duties may be assigned as appropriate.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or a related field.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule between 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
• Ability to travel 5–10%.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting and acquiring geospatial data from sources such as satellite imagery, utilities, aerial photographs, and field surveys.
• Organize, clean, and maintain databases to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Conduct spatial analysis using GIS software, including buffering, overlay analysis, and proximity analysis, to support project objectives.
• Create maps and visualizations using GIS software, including designing map layouts, symbology, and labeling.
• Perform quality assurance checks on GIS data and outputs; identify and resolve errors or discrepancies.
• Document workflows, procedures, and findings, and prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with team members, participate in meetings, and contribute ideas and insights.
• Support projects across teams such as Real Estate, Facilities, Risk, and Marketing.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
