About The Position

The GIS Analyst II will support enterprise GIS operations by querying, analyzing, and visualizing spatial data to support business, engineering, and operational needs. This role requires a strong working knowledge of GIS concepts, data integrity, and spatial analysis, with the ability to work independently on moderately complex tasks while collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Geospatial Science, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3-5 years of professional GIS experience.
• Proficiency with ESRI GIS tools (e.g., ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Portal)
• Strong understanding of spatial data models, coordinate systems, and SQL querying and databases.
• Experience in performing data validation, quality control, and metadata management.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting GIS work in a utility, infrastructure, or large enterprise environment.
• Experience with ESRI Utility Network software.
• Familiarity with GIS data related to assets, facilities, or network-based systems.
• Experience with scripting or automation (e.g., Python, ArcPY, Arcade)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze spatial and attribute data to support planning, operations, and decision-making.
• Produce complex maps, reports, and visualizations for internal stakeholders.
• Support ongoing GIS projects, including data updates, application enhancements, and process improvements.
• Work closely with engineers, analysts, and other business partners to interpret requirements and deliver GIS solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with governance and documentation standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues related to GIS applications and datasets.
• Assist with integration of GIS data with other enterprise systems as needed.
