About The Position
Canby High School is seeking a Girls Wrestling Coach for an extra duty position. The coach will be responsible for fulfilling extra duty responsibilities in accordance with school and district procedures and policies. This role requires the ability to work successfully with high school students, families, school staff, and the public, and to meet criminal records requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of emergency first aid procedures.
- Current First Aid/CPR card required.
- Ability to work successfully with high school students, families, school staff, and the public.
- Ability to perform extra duty responsibilities in accordance with school and district procedures and policies.
- Ability to meet criminal records requirements of the state of Oregon.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
- OSAA trainings required prior to working with athletes: Interscholastic Coaching Course, Concussion Recognition & Management, Heat Illness Prevention, Anabolic Steroids and Performance-Enhancing Substances, and Interrupting and Preventing Discriminatory Acts.
- District trainings required prior to starting work: SafeSchools (Vector Training).
- Applicant agrees to assume cost and arrange for fingerprint-based criminal records check upon offer of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience/knowledge of the sport of interscholastic Wrestling.
- Experience/knowledge of coaching techniques.
- Experience/knowledge of student supervision.
