About The Position

This role is responsible for coaching a girls' soccer team, with a primary focus on student safety and the development of sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic, and responsibility. The coach will manage all aspects of practices and games, including scheduling, supervision, and athlete conduct. Additionally, the coach will be responsible for teaching soccer techniques, strategies, and tactics, while also monitoring athletes' academic performance and personal behavior. Prompt response to injuries and responsible management of team resources are also key aspects of this position. The role may also involve substituting for other coaches or referees and fulfilling other duties as assigned by school administration.

Ability to maintain student safety
Ability to teach sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic, and responsibility
Ability to schedule, supervise, and conduct practices
Ability to supervise athletes at all times, including during transportation
Ability to work collaboratively with the district Athletic Director
Ability to teach sports techniques, rules, strategies, and tactics
Ability to condition athletes appropriately
Ability to monitor athletes' school attendance, grades, and personal conduct
Ability to respond to player injuries immediately and notify appropriate personnel
Ability to manage uniforms, equipment, and facilities responsibly
Willingness to substitute for absent coaches or referees as needed
Willingness to perform other duties as assigned by the school principal or designee

Responsibilities

Maintain student safety as the number one priority, on and off the field
Teach sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic and responsibility to one's team
Schedule, supervise and conduct all practices
Maintain supervision of athletes at all times, including on the bus
Work collaboratively with the district Athletic Director
Teach sports techniques, playing rules, strategies and playing tactics
Condition athletes appropriately for activities
Monitor athletes' school attendance, grades and personal conduct
Respond to player injuries immediately, notifying the Athletic Director and/or school administrator
Manage uniforms, equipment and facilities in a responsible manner
Substitute for absent coaches or referees as needed
Other duties as assigned by the school principal or designee
