About The Position
Upper Merion Area School District is hiring two Girls on the Run coaches for Gulph Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. Coaches deliver the official Girls on the Run curriculum during twice-weekly after-school practices, supervise participants, and coordinate the team’s participation in the seasonal GOTR 5K event.
Requirements
- Complete official Girls on the Run Coach Training, or be willing to complete it before the season starts.
Nice To Haves
- Current CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the official Girls on the Run curriculum during twice-weekly after-school practices.
- Lead warm-ups, running workouts, and group discussion activities.
- Supervise participants and ensure student safety during practices and events.
- Serve as the main point of contact for GOTR council representatives, parents, and school staff.
- Coordinate team participation in the seasonal GOTR 5K, including student registration and supervisor/volunteer clearances.
