About The Position

The Gifts Sales Outfitter performs sales and customer-service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and courteously, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining product knowledge, replenishing and restocking merchandise, keeping the work area clean and supplied, and following company policies and procedures.

The Outfitter helps customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending suitable products. The role also promotes programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up; maintains awareness of advertised sales, pricing, and signage; and assists with seasonal merchandise moves. Work is performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment and recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt customer service and help ensure a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Demonstrate products and provide customers with information, assistance, and direction.
• Identify and evaluate customers’ needs and make product recommendations.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Replenish and restock merchandise and maintain shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
