About The Position

The Gift Shop Supervisor assists the Gift Shop Manager in the daily operations of the gift shop and overseeing the Gift Shop Cashiers on their assigned shift. This includes managing staff, handling inventory, maintaining displays, handling tasks like cash handling and providing excellent Guest service. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. This position will report directly to the Gift Shop Manager.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word and must have an aptitude to learn other applications easily.
  • Ability to handle guest opportunities.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to supervise staff.
  • Ability to operate a calculator, cash register and ticket machine.
  • Basic math and cash handling skills.
  • Excellent guest service skills.
  • Must be flexible, motivated, and a team player with energy.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minium of three (3) years gift shop/retail experience with one (1) year supervisory or lead experience required.
  • Current RBS certificate required or ability to acquire one (employer will provide upon hire).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission, which includes passing a background investigation.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino's culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
  • Responsible for receiving all merchandise and inventory control.
  • Assist with the placement of merchandise on the floor and maintain a neat, clean, and inviting atmosphere for Guests.
  • Assists with interviewing and hiring all cashiers.
  • Responsible for training on register procedures, stocking practices, merchandising placement and store policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring all Team Members are adhering to all local and federal regulations pertaining to the sale of alcohol and tobacco products.
  • Assists with scheduling and directing team.
  • Address and document unsatisfactory performance and policy violations of Gift Shop Team Members.
  • Performs all functions of Gift Shop Cashier as needed.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.
