About The Position

The Gift Shop Supervisor at Hilton Daytona Beach is responsible for overseeing daily shop operations, managing employees on the floor, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role involves handling sales transactions, managing merchandise, maintaining store appearance, and assisting with inventory and loss prevention.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers, answer questions, recommend products, and provide overall excellent service.
  • Operate the POS system to process cash and credit sales, handle returns and exchanges, and accurately manage cash.
  • Restock shelves, organize displays, check new merchandise for defects, and ensure pricing is correct.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, tidiness, and organization of the shop floor and displays.
  • Assist with receiving inventory, monitoring stock levels, and potentially coordinating with managers on replenishment needs.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, monitor the shop for loss prevention, and assist guests with rentals.
  • Run the floor and manage daily shop activities.
  • Manage and monitor employees on the floor to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage backstock and organize storage areas.
  • Prepare AM cash registers for daily operations.
  • Count money at the end of the night and ensure accurate cash handling.
