About The Position

Assists the Gift Shop Manager in ensuring that Gift Shops, Attractions, Redemption areas, Putt-Putt Golf, and Airbrushing areas operate at full potential for sales, profit, and guest service. This role is capable of handling all Gift Shop and Redemption responsibilities in the absence of the Manager. The position involves assisting with inventory input, product pricing, and merchandise display. The supervisor will also display merchandise attractively to encourage sales, supervise and train staff, document employee performance, perform administrative duties, enforce company and department policies, and control expenses to achieve profitability.

Requirements

• Associates degree or equivalent in business related courses.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in retail sales.
• Ability to manage employees.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Good math skills.
• Computer literate in order to obtain reports and input merchandise and maximize sales.
• Understands how inventory affects sales and cost of goods.
• Ability to recognize items that can be promoted and display them attractively and effectively.
• Ability to stand long periods of time, walk, lift moderate weights.

Responsibilities

• Assisting Gift Shop Manager with ensuring Gift Shops, Attractions, Redemption areas, Putt-Putt Golf and Airbrushing areas are operating at full potential for sales, profit and guest service.
• Handling all Gift Shops and Redemption responsibilities in the absence of the Manager.
• Assisting with overseeing the inputting of inventory, pricing of products and placing/displaying merchandise.
• Displaying merchandising items in an attractive manner to draw attention to products to encourage sales.
• Supervising staff and training employees.
• Documenting performance on clerks.
• Performing required administrative duties.
• Enforcing company and department policies and procedures.
• Controlling expenses to obtain a profit.
