McMenamins Kennedy School is hiring for Gift Shop Staff. McMenamins is a family-owned company in Oregon and Washington that serves handcrafted beer, wine, cider, spirits, and coffee alongside pub fare. The primary duty of the Gift Shop Staff is to provide excellent customer service in the gift shop and maintain a pleasant atmosphere. Duties include greeting customers, assisting with questions, suggesting merchandise, making coffee and espresso drinks, operating the cash register, cash handling, cleaning, stocking, processing freight, and opening/closing duties. Employees may also work in merchandise tents, complete physical inventory, and set up merchandise presentations. Training will be provided on all McMenamin products, and employees should be able to make recommendations. As the gift shop is near the central front desk, employees must stay informed about property events and be prepared to answer customer questions. This position requires mental agility, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
