About The Position

Cloverkey is a family-owned business specializing in retail gift shops within hospital systems. They are seeking a Part Time Sales Associate who embodies values of hard work, integrity, and exceptional customer service to contribute to their accounting area. The Sales Associate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, supporting store goals, maintaining a clean store, and handling cash transactions. They will assist customers, follow company policies, and build positive relationships with hospital contacts and volunteers. The gift shop operates Monday - Friday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Saturday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM, and Sunday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. The work schedule is 15 hours per week, including evenings and weekends. All contractors must complete occupational health screenings required by THOP hospitals, including immunization records, TB skin test, 9-panel drug screening, and flu vaccination during flu season.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with customers
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
  • Basic math skills for processing transactions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell and cross-sell products
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in gifts sales or a related field is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to every customer who enters the gift shop, including greeting, thanking, and inviting them back.
  • Meet store performance objectives and support events as directed by Corporate and Store Manager.
  • Clock in and out according to the scheduled work slot to manage budgeted hours.
  • Ensure the store is clean and well-maintained, including dusting shelves, organizing displays, and cleaning surfaces according to schedule and instructions.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including counting down the register drawer, processing various payment methods, and notating discrepancies.
  • Follow hospital and Cloverkey policies regarding personal appearance, attendance, and customer service.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the hospital contact and maintain a good relationship with the hospital.
  • Show respect for and understanding of the role of volunteers.
