GI Technician
About The Position
The Endoscopy Center in Hilo, Hawaii, is hiring a full-time GI Technician for its outpatient gastroenterology and endoscopy facility. Under the guidance of the Center Manager, the technician cleans and maintains video endoscopes and accessories in the GI Endoscopy suites, follows CDC guidelines for infection prevention and control, assists physicians and staff nurses during procedures, and performs daily equipment maintenance. The position supports the center’s mission of providing high-quality, patient-focused care. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, with some Saturday hours depending on center needs. No on-call or night work is required. The technician may float to other centers for added compensation. Starting pay is $19.00 to $27.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain video endoscopes and accessories in the GI Endoscopy suites.
- Follow CDC guidelines for infection prevention and control.
- Assist physicians and staff nurses during procedures.
- Perform daily equipment maintenance.
- Support the center’s mission.
- Float to other centers as needed.
