Surgical Services - GI/Endo Tech
About The Position
The GI/Endo Tech works in an acute care hospital and may float to assist with cases in the operating room. The regular shift is 0800–1630. On-call coverage is required, with weeknight call from 1630–0730 and 24-hour weekend call. Caregivers average approximately eight weeknights and two weekends of call per six-week schedule. Call commitments vary. The facility does not accommodate block scheduling. Requests for time off must be included at the time of submission. The facility may call off the caregiver once per two-week pay period. The hospital has 266 staffed beds and uses Epic for charting. RNs wear navy blue scrubs; scrubs for L&D, OR, and Cath Lab are provided. Parking options and costs include a $10 hang-tag, a $35 key card, $38 per pay period at the hospital, or $16 per pay period at St. Anne’s.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience is required.
- First-time candidates are not accepted unless they have at least 5 years of experience.
- National certification is not required.
- BLS is preferred.
- Must be available for required on-call coverage.
- Must submit requests for time off at the time of submission.
