About The Position
The Endoscope Reprocessing Tech in the Endo/GI Lab inspects, disinfects, and manually cleans endoscopes and probes, and performs high-level disinfection (HLD). After processing, the technician dries, labels, and hangs scopes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience in endoscopy reprocessing.
- Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER).
- Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.
Responsibilities
- Inspect endoscopes and probes.
- Disinfect endoscopes and probes.
- Manually clean endoscopes and probes.
- Perform high-level disinfection (HLD) on endoscopes and probes.
- Dry, label, and hang scopes after processing.
