About The Position

The Malvern School is seeking a highly motivated, career-oriented Assistant Teacher with a passion for Early Childhood Education for the Get Set classroom at its Medford school. This full-time role works Monday through Friday. The teacher assists in implementing a high-quality early childhood education program in accordance with school policies and the Malvern School philosophy, maintains a safe, healthy, and educational classroom environment, and communicates regularly with parents in person and through technology, meeting or exceeding parent expectations.

Its curriculum is designed to meet or exceed National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Either at least 2,500 hours of documented experience with young children in a licensed facility, or 15 relevant college credits (or a CDA) and at least 1,250 hours of documented experience with young children in a licensed facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the early childhood education program in accordance with school policies and the Malvern School philosophy.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and educational environment for the class.
• Communicate regularly with parents in person and through technology, meeting or exceeding parent expectations.
