Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, diploma, or certificate in HSE or related field.
  • Relevant experience in an industrial environment of at least 3-5 years.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Good level of English is necessary (due to the presence of part of the team in Ontario and the United States, which requires fluid communication).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the investigation and analysis process for near misses, incidents, and accidents.
  • Perform health and safety risk analysis.
  • Maintain and share health and safety best practices by collaborating directly with operators and maintaining a strong presence on the floor.
  • Organize activities that directly reinforce the culture and focus on needs.
  • Be responsible for leading, reporting, and following up on health and safety committee meetings.
  • Conduct direct interventions and take action.
  • Analyze future training needs for health and safety.
  • Ensure follow-up of continuous training and maintain training and personnel development records.
  • Be in charge of ISO management systems and audits for 14001 (environment) and 45001 (health and safety).
  • Stay informed about SSE laws and requirements to maintain the compliance of our SSE programs, procedures, and rules.
  • Maintain our SSE programs, procedures, and rules in accordance with corporate requests and current regulations.
  • Complete corporate reports and follow up on HSE key performance indicators.
  • Lead the update of the PSSE (health program).
  • Participate/lead various committees (management committee, critical reviews, Kaizen, emergency response group...).
  • Maintain clear and constant communication with the entire team.
