About The Position

The Regional EH&S Manager develops and implements high-performance Environmental, Health and Safety programs for JLL's Client account. This strategic regional role provides guidance and support to site management, program owners, and personnel across multiple facilities to ensure regulatory compliance. You will design, organize, implement, and maintain comprehensive EH&S policies, procedures, and programs. Your objective is to empower employees at each site in a manner that protects all personnel and property, avoids loss, builds public trust, and ensures business continuity. This position requires up to 50% travel within the assigned region and availability to respond to critical matters after hours.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience working with EHS compliance and management systems, preferably within facility operations
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Risk or related field as it relates to facility management
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements that apply to facilities management (CNESST, OSHA, EPA, NFPA, DOT, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with ability to work effectively at all organizational levels
  • Ability to get results through others without having direct reports
  • Ability to work well with minimal supervision and proficient in basic computer applications such as MS Office programs and Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • EHS experience in distribution, warehousing, or maintenance operations highly desirable
  • College degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of safety requirements, fundamentals of safety education, industrial safety, risk management, and application of data automation to the safety function
  • Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills
  • For internal candidates, consistent "meets expectations" job performance reviews
  • Oral and/or written interactions with tenants or external partners based outside Quebec (for example, service providers, law firms, peers, bankers, brokerage firms, credit analysis firms, credit agencies, non-French-speaking clients, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive EH&S programs and initiatives that comply with regulatory requirements and promote employee participation and accountability across multiple locations, including contractor safety, lockout/tagout, chemical management, and emergency procedures
  • Identify, eliminate, and control hazardous conditions that may lead to injury or property damage using safety standards, best management practices, and analytical techniques
  • Communicate clearly with client directors and JLL leadership while developing and conducting training in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Ensure timely capture of EH&S accidents, injuries, near misses/good catches, and other events in corporate systems, and analyze, manage, and report this data
  • Conduct and lead EH&S audits across sites within the assigned region while participating in incident investigations, root-cause analysis, recordkeeping, and follow-up
  • Monitor recordkeeping and reporting performance for Risk-related requirements and objectives
  • Ensure appropriate site and business-specific programs are implemented, documented, and standardized to effectively and efficiently meet CPIs/KPIs and legal requirements
