Requirements

  • Possess a College, University degree or equivalent with similar experience.
  • One to two years of administrative experience in an industrial environment preferably is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and team coaching abilities are required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with time constraints is required.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with SAP, Word, and Excel software are required.
  • Experience managing employees.
  • Prioritize excellent customer service.
  • Knowledge of the gas or welding industry (an asset).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations and work methods to ensure customer satisfaction and branch profitability.
  • Manage branch personnel by employing effective communication methods, building and coaching dynamic teams to achieve superior performance in all key areas, especially customer service.
  • Ensure the financial viability of the branch by establishing and monitoring key performance metrics for inventory levels, cylinder control, truck routes, and other predetermined activities.
  • Coordinate, implement, and ensure the maintenance of safe work practices.
  • Provide branch personnel with product access and basic sales training to ensure the best possible customer service.
