About The Position

Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 32 countries and territories in North America, the Greater Caribbean, and Europe. The Partnership’s midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 14,000 miles of pipeline and over 160 terminals. The Territory Manager is responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong business relationships with independent retailers under the Ultramar, Crevier and Marché Express brands. In addition, the Territory Manager is tasked with identifying new business opportunities to expand the number of sites within the territory. This dynamic, front-line position demands a keen business acumen, a solid understanding of legal responsibilities, and the ability to make decisions that align with the company’s best interests to maximize profitability and productivity. The role involves daily collaboration with employees across various departments within the organization, ensuring smooth operations and the achievement of business objectives. Location: Quebec City’s South Shore – The territory stretches from Quebec City’s South Shore to the Gaspé Peninsula.

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent education in retail management, sales, and marketing.
  • Five to ten years of experience in sales/territory management and business development.
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • High level of autonomy and self-motivation.
  • Leadership skills and a strong team spirit.
  • Bilingualism - fluency in both spoken and written English and French.
  • Decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong negotiation skills and effective communicator.
  • Planning, organization, and task prioritization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationships.
  • Travel required – 75% – some trips may exceed 24 hours.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

  • Follow Parkland's safety policies and procedures while ensuring the safety of operations on site.
  • Actively promote the benefits of Parkland through the value proposition presented to retailers.
  • Increase the value and leadership of the gas stations while driving sales growth.
  • Increase the value and leadership of the gas stations while driving sales growth and maximizing the territory’s profitability.
  • Business development: Convert potential dealers (leads/prospects) into new Parkland dealers and renew/renegotiate contracts with existing dealers.
  • Maximize sales and marketing opportunities within the territory.
  • Conduct value-added site visits.
  • Help retailers exceed expectations by maintaining a high NPS (Net Promoter Score).
  • Optimize service levels by addressing needs and achieving a high customer recommendation index.
  • Conduct market analyses and provide recommendations in detailed reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements to mitigate risks and liabilities.
  • Take ownership of territory management and communicate proactively at all levels of the organization.
