Workleap - fr

About The Position

Workleap is a Montreal-based tech company founded in 2006, creating simple products that make a real difference. We have two product lines: L'Agent Workleap, our agentic HR platform, and ShareGate, the global standard for Microsoft 365 migration and governance. Over 15,000 companies worldwide trust us. We are intentional in our hiring, seeking individuals who want to roll up their sleeves and build something meaningful in an exciting tech era. In this role, you will take charge of the second half of the revenue engine – everything that happens after a contract is signed and before the money lands in the account. Every subscription sold, every renewal, every request falls into your team's hands. Your mandate: ensure every transaction is correctly priced, invoiced, accounted for, and collected – without leaving exceptions unresolved. You report to the Director of Finance and manage a small, solid team of three people who handle the day-to-day operations. This role is deliberately broad: revenue accounting, billing operations, and revenue systems are grouped so one person can solve a problem end-to-end.

Requirements

  • CPA designation, with 7 to 10 years of finance experience, including at least 3 in a revenue accounting, billing operations, or operational finance role in a SaaS or recurring revenue company.
  • Solid understanding of subscription mechanics – recurring billing, amendments, renewals, deferred revenue, and the correspondence between ARR and recognized revenue.
  • Good knowledge of NCECF (section 3400) in a subscription context; IFRS 15 or ASC 606 is an asset.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite (preferably including Advanced Revenue Management) or an equivalent ERP, plus a subscription billing platform (Recurly, Zuora, Maxio, or similar).
  • Experience in indirect/sales taxes in a SaaS context – application on invoices and filing production; experience with Avalara is an asset.
  • Direct leadership: you have managed a team, set priorities, and developed your direct reports.
  • Comfortable with AI tools in a finance or operations context – you actively seek how to integrate them, not just adapt to them.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the integrity of every dollar of subscription revenue by driving the monthly close – revenue journals, deferred revenue schedules, reconciliations, and variance analysis – so Finance has clean numbers before each FP&A review.
  • Keep the systems behind billing running by acting as the functional owner of the revenue layer in NetSuite (Advanced Revenue Management) – reliability, data quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Reduce DSO and manual exceptions each quarter by diagnosing and correcting problems at the source – at the CRM-ERP transfer level – rather than patching downstream.
  • Run the order-to-invoice cycle across multiple billing entities with accuracy, timeliness, and indirect tax compliance (Avalara, Canadian filings).
  • Deploy AI in the team's workflows to automate repetitive tasks, detect anomalies faster, and free up bandwidth for value-added issues.
  • Execute strategic projects led by management – migrating US customers to the US entity, reviewing the revenue technology stack – by being the central point of coordination between Finance, RevOps, and Customer Success.

Benefits

  • Base salary: $120k to $150k (this range reflects our pan-Canadian salary scale; final offer may be adjusted by region to align with local market conditions).
  • Annual bonus program
  • LTIP program, participation in Workleap's long-term growth
  • RRSP + Family group insurance + telemedicine + annual wellness budget
  • Flexible vacation policy
  • Remote work, with access to our Montreal offices
  • Access to Claude, for everyone, daily
  • In-person team events several times a year
