About The Position
Global LT is seeking a German Language Teacher to provide in-person, customized lessons to children in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves teaching two siblings, aged 6 and 8, who are preparing to repatriate to Germany. The lessons will focus on supporting their adaptation to German school and life, with an emphasis on reading and writing skills. The teacher will need to create a structured and engaging learning environment, catering to the children's individual interests in drawing, dancing, robots, sports, and games.
Requirements
- Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in German
- A degree or certification in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or a related field
- A minimum of two years of experience teaching ESL
- Experience teaching children is a must
Nice To Haves
- Experience with students interested in drawing, dancing, robots, sports, and games
- Ability to provide structure to keep children focused
