English (ESL) Language Teacher for children in Carmel, IN
About The Position
Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring an English Language Teacher (ESL) to provide in-person customized lessons to children in Carmel, IN. The students are two eleven-year-old siblings who are complete beginners in English and speak Japanese and Chinese at home. The lessons should focus on building vocabulary, learning common phrases used in everyday situations, and developing confidence through conversations with native speakers. Special emphasis should be placed on school-related vocabulary and social language to help them make friends and integrate more easily into their new environment. Lessons are to be held at the student's home in Carmel, IN 46032.
Requirements
- Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in English
- A degree or certification in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or a related field.
- A minimum of two years of experience teaching ESL
- Experience teaching children is a must.
