English (ESL) Language Teacher for children in Las Vegas, Nevada
About The Position
Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring an English Language Teacher (ESL) to provide in-person customized lessons to children in Las Vegas, Nevada. The students are two siblings, ages 13 and 15, who speak Japanese at home. They are possibly high-beginners and their initial focus is on essential English skills, survival English, and socialization, with later support for academic needs like reading and listening comprehension. Lessons are 60 minutes per student, back-to-back, and will be held at the student's home in Summerlin, Las Vegas, NV. The requested times are flexible, with an initial frequency of 5x per week until the school year starts, after which the frequency will decrease.
Requirements
- Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in English
- A degree or certification in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or a related field.
- A minimum of two years of experience teaching ESL
- Experience teaching children is a must.
