About The Position

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas, invites applications for Geriatrics, Assistant/Associate/Professor, Internal Medicine, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine. ROLE of the POSITION The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV, Internal Medicine Department, is searching for an Assistant/Associate/Professor in the specialty of Geriatrics. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing academic Geriatrics practice. The successful candidate will have a passion for the teaching of internal medicine residents and Geriatrics Fellows in both the inpatient medical service and ambulatory setting. The position will engage in didactic teaching, research, and maintain a practice of Geriatric Medicine, delivering and striving for excellence in patient care. Requirements

This position requires a M.D. or D.O. from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
Completed an ACGME-approved Internal Medicine Residency Program, completed an ACGME-approved Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program
Be board certified in Internal Medicine, and be board certified or board eligible within two (2) years of graduation from an ACGME-approved Geriatrics Fellowship Program.
Candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted Nevada medical license, Nevada pharmacy and DEA licenses, and malpractice insurance.
They must also meet credentialing requirements and be able to obtain privileges at affiliated hospitals and other site locations as needed.

Responsibilities

Teaching of internal medicine residents and Geriatrics Fellows in both the inpatient medical service and ambulatory setting.
Engage in didactic teaching and research.
Maintain a practice of Geriatric Medicine, delivering and striving for excellence in patient care.
