About The Position

National Wound Physician Group is seeking a Geriatrician to join their team in Chicago, IL. This position offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, and flexibility, with a strong emphasis on work-life balance. Physicians will become experts in wound management, learning from highly qualified trainers and utilizing cutting-edge technologies. The practice involves providing bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states. Physicians receive comprehensive training, including a wound fellowship, to ensure clinical excellence. W2 physicians can expect to earn an average of $300,000 per year plus benefits for a 30-hour work week, with part-time opportunities available. The role involves delivering modern wound management in post-acute care settings such as Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals, conducting weekly wound rounds, and documenting care in real-time using a proprietary EMR. This is a mobile practice covering a 40-60 mile radius, with physicians visiting 2-3 facilities and treating 20-30 patients daily. Paid training is provided during onboarding and a 6-month wound care fellowship.

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.
• Full, active, and unrestricted license in the state you wish to practice.
• Minimum commitment of 3 days a week within our working days of Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside wound care in post-acute care settings (Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals).
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
• Visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients per day.
• Perform clinical documentation in real-time during clinical rounds using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.
• Participate in a 6-month wound care fellowship.
• Travel within a 40-60 mile radius of the practice location.
