About The Position

Blakehurst is seeking hospitality-focused Geriatric Nursing Assistants (GNAs) to join their team. Blakehurst is a Life Plan Community located on a 40-acre campus in Towson, MD, dedicated to enriching the lives of over 300 seniors by providing opportunities for them to live life to the fullest. Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
One (1) year experience working as a GNA.
Must be on the Maryland Board of Nursing State Registry.
All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility.

Responsibilities

Assist all residents with a high quality of personal care, including but not limited to; bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, incontinent care, foot care, positioning, turning, exercising, vital signs, height and weight checks per policy.
Assist residents with mealtime. Cut food. Encourage to eat.
Complete and document shift assignments as assigned, if unable to complete, report to nursing supervisor.
Communicate to residents, families, Department Leaders, and the Director of Nursing when needed.
Provide activities as planned and/or directed.
Respond to call lights and emergencies in a timely manner.
