About The Position

TTL is seeking a Project Geotechnical Engineer in San Antonio, Texas. The engineer may support projects involving electrical substations and transmission lines; industrial and commercial sites; institutional and education sites; roadways and bridges; earthwork and grading design; and water distribution and sanitary sewer collection projects. The role is suited to a motivated, organized, creative, and responsible individual who wants to work as part of a team while developing the technical and professional skills needed to become a successful practicing engineer.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Two to five years of geotechnical engineering consulting experience.
• Texas Engineer-in-Training certificate.
• Good driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Master of Science degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform field activities such as sample collection, field boring log preparation, staking boring locations, and field electrical resistivity testing.
• Design and communicate project plans and direct work with field and laboratory staff.
• Oversee assigned project field activities.
• Assign laboratory testing.
• Create boring logs, perform calculations, and develop engineering recommendations.
• Prepare engineering reports.
• Perform foundation design calculations and analysis, and prepare plans.
• Communicate with clients about project status, field and laboratory testing results, and engineering recommendations.
