About The Position
GTA is currently seeking candidates for Geotechnical Field (Materials Testing) Technician position in our Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania office. Responsibilities include construction observation and testing of soil, concrete, and other materials. GTA provides ample opportunities for training, certifications and career advancement. You must own a reliable vehicle, have a good driving record, like working with people and enjoy working outdoors. Office Address: 3383 Bear Creek Blvd Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702 Geotechnical Field (Materials Testing) Technician Requirements: Own Transportation, valid drivers license and Good Driving Record Enjoy Working Outdoors High School Diploma or Equivalent ACI, NICET, WACEL and/or other certifications desired PLEASE NOTE: This position may require standing for extended durations as well as repetitive motions such as lifting or hammering. The employee must have the ability to use their hands to handle, finger or feel; reach, climb or balance; crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit, see and smell; including close, distance and peripheral vision, depth vision and ability to focus. The employee will regularly lift and/or move 60 pounds, and occasionally move 80 pounds or more (such as a loaded wheelbarrow of concrete or soil samples).
