About The Position

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with multi-discipline teams to develop design materials for project assignments. You will perform analysis, design calculations, design sketches, and prepare geotechnical design reports to meet project requirements. Additionally, you will perform, coordinate, and manage geotechnical field investigations, and coordinate, manage, observe, and document geotechnical construction activities such as grouting, ground improvement, deep foundations, and retaining walls.

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing or equivalent experience in Engineering work.
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
  • Holds an active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries, and supports where necessary.
  • Holds an active engineering registration or licensure or in process of obtaining.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with geotechnical investigations, grouting, ground improvement, deep foundations, and retaining walls
  • Prefer Master's Degree in Civil Engineering with Emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering
  • Active Engineering-In-Training (EIT) Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work with multi-discipline teams to develop design materials for project assignments
  • Perform analysis, design calculations, design sketches, and preparing geotechnical design reports to meet project requirements
  • Perform, coordinate, and manage geotechnical field investigations
  • Coordinate, manage, observe, and document geotechnical construction activities such as grouting, ground improvement, deep foundations, retaining walls, etc.
  • Focuses on the coordinating internal teams and resources while working to understand client’s interest and needs
  • Develop structural technical specifications, plans, and details for projects such as power generation facilities, substations, transmission lines, solar sites, dams, canals, flood control projects, municipal water, wastewater, and pipelines
  • Planning, designing, and overseeing geotechnical aspects for projects both in the office and in the field.
  • Be able to travel on field assignments as required. Field time is estimated at 20 and 40%.
