About The Position

cFocus Software is seeking a Geospatial Project Manager to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) program. This is a fully remote position that requires a Public Trust Clearance. The role involves providing programmatic support to the DHS GMO, offering subject matter guidance on managing and coordinating large-scale enterprise geospatial data and application capabilities. This includes data activities like information sharing requirements and situational awareness applications across the homeland security enterprise. The position also supports the development and implementation of plans and policies for managing, documenting, analyzing, collecting, and implementing GII requirements across GMO projects and various technical teams, providing recommendations for prioritizing and meeting requirements based on available resources. The Project Manager will be available to the COR via telephone between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM Washington, DC local time, Monday through Friday, and must respond to requests for discussion or resolution of technical problems within 24 hours of notification. The role involves implementing geospatial information technology solutions as part of a large team (5-10 people) and/or serving as a small team lead (3-4 people). The position requires proficiency in managing small teamwork efforts using industry standards and methodologies (e.g., Agile Scrum, Waterfall) and providing tactical recommendations to the government for process, deliverable, and outcome improvements. Additionally, the role involves implementing geospatial information technology solutions for homeland security, law enforcement, and emergency management systems, demonstrating proficiency with technical components of GIS and IT systems integration, and managing large or multiple teams. Experience in project management using industry standards and methodologies (e.g., Agile, PMP) for efficient work and resource management is essential. The position also requires providing strategic recommendations to the government to drive improvements in organizational outcomes, missions, and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of specialized GIS/Project Manager experience
  • Active PMP certification
  • Public Trust Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Provide programmatic support to the DHS GMO and provide subject matter guidance on managing and coordinating large scale enterprise geospatial data and application capabilities.
