About The Position

GFT is seeking a Project Manager to support a variety of projects in the Mid Atlantic Region. This role follows a hybrid work model out of our Richmond, VA office. We are looking for a motivated, organized, and communicative professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrates leadership, and has a proven track record in managing complex projects in areas such as GIS technology, transportation, and/or information technology. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S., or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 6 years of project management experience, preferably in consulting or professional services.
  • Current Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP).
  • Strong ability to engage with personnel at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of application and data management principles.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with state or local government, particularly in transportation.
  • Familiarity with GIS and geospatial technology.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, client relationships, and team coordination.
  • Lead and facilitate meetings; prepare agendas and detailed meeting minutes.
  • Review and validate project deliverables for completeness and compliance.
  • Direct cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, technical leads, and SMEs.
  • Develop and distribute regular status reports.
  • Monitor project performance and track against timelines and budgets.
  • Maintain logs for action items, issues, and risks.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Management System processes.
  • Resolve project-related issues in collaboration with internal teams and clients.
  • Contribute to drafting task orders, proposal development, and business development.
  • Utilize asset management tools and principles to support successful outcomes.
