About The Position

The Geordie's Fine Dining Server supports dining room operations by preparing service areas, assisting guests throughout their dining experience, serving food and beverages to WMC standards, and maintaining cleanliness and readiness in the dining room and related areas. The role includes taking and entering orders, making menu and wine recommendations, processing payments, coordinating with Server Assistants, and following health, safety, cash-handling, and Arizona State Liquor Laws. This is a seasonal, full-time position at Wrigley Mansion.

Responsibilities

Stock dining room service areas with clean, ready-to-use equipment and supplies, including silverware, glassware, linens, menus, and salt and pepper.
Set up and dismantle POS terminal areas; detail the dining room and ensure tables are ready for guests.
Maintain supplies and complete daily opening and closing checklists.
Greet and assist guests, provide excellent customer service, recite specials, explain menu items, and make recommendations.
Take guest orders accurately and enter them into the POS terminal.
Check that food and beverages are properly prepared and served, and assist with guests’ additional needs.
Clear dishes and plates at the appropriate time, present accurate and timely bills, and process payments according to cash-handling procedures.
Follow WMC service standards and direct Server Assistants as needed.
Serve food and beverages according to WMC standards and follow health and safety guidelines and Arizona State Liquor Laws when handling and preparing alcoholic drinks.
Know the WMC wine list, make appropriate recommendations, and properly serve bottles of wine.
Wash and polish glassware, china, and silverware; transport dirty items safely to the dish area and return clean items to the dining room.
Reset tables and arrange tables and chairs according to the floor plan; run food and iron tablecloths when needed.
Maintain cleanliness in the dining room and service and kitchen service areas to meet health code standards; remove boxes and trash promptly and discreetly.
Complete other duties as assigned by the Manager or Captain.
