About The Position
As our Geology Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in mining geology with activities varying by site location. Potential responsibilities may include conducting geologic mapping and soil sampling, supporting production and/or exploration geology activities, assisting with monthly reports, and maintaining safety protocols. Depending on the specific site, interns may gain exposure to underground or surface mining operations, drill core analysis, database management, and production reconciliation processes. Here’s what you can expect in this role: Training first. Every hire is provided MSHA training in the first 4 days on the job. We also provide department-level training on not just what to do, but safety, as well. Potential responsibilities may include conducting geologic mapping and soil sampling, supporting production and/or exploration geology activities. Safety is important. Every piece of equipment and each work area must be inspected before we start the day for your safety and the safety of your team. You will be paid, and have access to medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a 401 (k) with company match. Housing will be provided. Internships occur between May and September 1, 2027. You will be a part of team you can rely on, a team that will have your back.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in school for the Fall 2026 semester in geology, or related field.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing.
- Must possess current authorization to work in the United States.
