About The Position
Weston & Sampson is seeking an entry-level Geologist/Hydrogeologist with 0-2 years of experience for their Water discipline in their Suffern, NY office. This role involves conducting hydrogeologic and geologic investigations, supervising pumping tests, performing water-quality sampling, streamflow gaging, GIS map and graphics generation, soil sampling and logging during well installation, and writing permits and reports.
Requirements
- BS in Geology with an emphasis in Hydrogeology
- A positive attitude and ability to work in a team setting
- Enthusiasm for completing field work at a variety of site settings
- Practical knowledge of GIS, data entry and management using Microsoft Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Some travel will be required to conduct field work
- Valid driver’s license is required
