As a Genome Editing Target Design Scientist, you design key research projects to identify gene-editing targets and prescribe alleles expected to deliver desired phenotypic impact. You work with a diverse set of data inputs to develop genotype-to-phenotype predictions using the industry’s most extensive global agriculture and genetic datasets. You identify and develop game-changing ideas that produce sophisticated insights and leverage rapidly evolving datasets and model-based approaches to guide genome editing and crop improvement efforts. You collaborate closely with the Crop Genome Editing team and the Biology and Genome Design community to translate discoveries into actionable editing pipelines and influence research direction across cross-functional scientific, engineering, and IT partners.
