As a Genome Editing Target Design Scientist, you design key research projects to identify gene-editing targets and prescribe alleles expected to deliver desired phenotypic impact; you work with a diverse set of data inputs to develop genotype-to-phenotype predictions using the industry’s most extensive global agriculture and genetic datasets; you identify and develop game-changing ideas that produce sophisticated insights and leverage rapidly evolving datasets and model-based approaches to guide genome editing and crop improvement efforts; you collaborate closely with the Crop Genome Editing team and the Biology and Genome Design community to translate discoveries into actionable editing pipelines and influence research direction across cross-functional scientific, engineering, and IT partners.
