About The Position

The Generators Upgrades (Legacy GE Technology) Value Stream Leader is accountable for end-to-end performance, flow, and execution of the value stream. The role translates customer demand and business priorities into predictable project delivery and outcomes for quality, lead time, cash, and margin. It owns the operating system connecting order handover, engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, project execution, shipment and site execution, and closeout, aligning functions around shared priorities, milestones, and customer outcomes. The leader integrates execution across organizational boundaries, identifies and removes systemic constraints, drives accountability for commitments, and continuously improves value-stream speed, predictability, and quality. The role directly leads Project Quality Managers, the Site Execution productivity team, and the Value Stream Performance Team, while working across Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Commercial, Finance, and Field Services. As a member of the Value Stream Operations Leadership team within the Services and Fuels business line of the Nuclear segment, the position contributes to safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance and transforms value streams to improve customer and business outcomes. Responsibilities include owning end-to-end performance, establishing execution operating rhythms, improving flow and lead time, and leading project quality. This is a remote position. GE Vernova offers professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation. The stated U.S. pay range is $140,300 to $233,800, with geographic differentials in certain areas and eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

  • Experience in complex engineered products, power generation, energy services, or project-based industrial environments.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience involving cross-functional project portfolios or value streams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead across organizational boundaries and align senior functional and project leaders using data, operating rhythms, and structured problem solving.
  • Strong understanding of project and portfolio execution, including integrated schedules, risk management, resource prioritization, critical-path management, project quality, and recovery of challenged projects.
  • Ability to turn complex problems into clear priorities, decisions, owners, and actions and drive disciplined follow-through.
  • Ability to anticipate delivery, quality, and capacity risks and act early.
  • Executive-level communication skills, including the ability to explain complex portfolio issues and challenge assumptions and commitments with facts.

Nice To Haves

  • Track record of improving execution performance, including customer delivery, schedule predictability, lead time, quality, throughput, or financial outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of value-stream management, flow, constraint management, Lean principles, and structured problem solving.
  • Ability to move an organization from firefighting toward repeatable execution.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end value-stream performance and identify systemic constraints across engineering, procurement, suppliers, manufacturing, and site execution; drive cross-functional resolution to improve delivery, project milestones, lead time, throughput, backlog conversion, quality, margin, and cost of poor quality.
  • Establish and lead the value-stream execution operating system, including monthly Value Stream/MOR reviews and weekly Execution/S&OE rhythms for performance, portfolio risk, capacity, resource conflicts, escalations, and decisions.
  • Set escalation thresholds, decision rights, accountable owners, and closure dates; make operating reviews forums for decisions and actions rather than reporting alone.
  • Develop forward-looking execution intelligence and analytics to identify potential delivery deterioration before customer milestones are missed.
  • Continuously improve the flow of Steam Turbine Upgrades from customer order through delivery using value-stream maps, critical-path understanding, pacemaker processes, WIP visibility, queue and waiting-time analysis, pull principles, buffer strategies, freeze windows, constraint management, standard work, and decision lead times.
  • Drive structural reductions in lead time and variability using Lean principles while avoiding local optimization that harms overall value-stream performance.
  • Directly lead Project Quality Managers and embed zero-defect, right-first-time quality across ITO-to-OTR handover, design, suppliers, manufacturing, release, site execution, and lessons learned.
  • Lead the Project Quality Managers, Site Execution productivity team, and Value Stream Performance Team, and coordinate with Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Commercial, Finance, and Field Services.
