The Generator Service & Maintenance Division is seeking Generator Service Technicians to maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and test generator systems ranging from 5 kW to 4,000 kW while providing high-quality customer service.
Requirements
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude, with experience in mechanical and electrical fields, particularly with diesel generators.
- Willingness to learn and use new technologies.
- Availability to work various shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call pager rotations, with occasional out-of-town travel and overnight stays.
- Ability to safely operate heavy equipment, forklifts, and mobile cranes in accordance with OSHA regulations.
Nice To Haves
- Technical schooling or experience in automotive, transportation, commercial or residential electrical fields, or similar military experience.
- Certified Journeyman Electrician certification.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and test generator systems ranging from 5 kW to 4,000 kW.
- Interact with customers.
- Correctly complete paperwork.
- Read and apply technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
