Requirements

  • Bachelors ’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical or related field of study.
  • 3+ years of experience in system engineering, vehicle electrification or related Automotive domain.
  • 1+ years of CAD.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree in Engineering.
  • Prior experience in Automotive industry, working with cross functional team to develop new technology and issue resolution.
  • Component test experience with bench and / or dyno.
  • Vehicle systems level test experience for electro-mechanical modules.
  • Model based system engineering experience.
  • Power electronics experience.
  • Ability to work with suppliers for design and system engineering.
  • Knowledge of eDrive Unit controls / communication system.
  • PPAP experience.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively on projects and assignments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Able to integrate Generator into existing and future electric and EREV vehicle architectures.
  • Provide technical system support throughout all phases of the vehicle program to ensure robust system engineering and program execution and performance on Generator.
  • Work with program team to understand the required functional and physical properties of a Generator system.
  • Ensure linkage to system DFMEA and manufacturing PFMEA.
  • Work with Tier 1 supplier, Vehicle Engineering and Vehicle Controls team to ensure system / subsystem interfaces delivery.
  • Identifies, tracks, and resolves engineering issues.
  • Support program launches.
